Hot Stone Massage is cool! No, it's hot! Something you would expect to find in a spa.
This is a massage using Peruvian Bassald Lava stones that have been ground and smoothed by ocean waves. I heat them in a temprature-controled heater with water. Stones are placed on a person's body in varios places (including between the toes!). There they sit while I massage with more stones in my hands using massage oil. The heated stones penetrate deep into muscles as they glide along your body or sit where they are put. A welcome warming experience for these cold winter days! This is different than other massage that I offer in that particular muscles aren't manipulated as much. The relaxing, healing sensation from the stones does wonders to pamper you. Sessions last at least an hour and are $50. Some of my regular clients have opted to alternate hot stone sessions with regular massage or Reiki. Whatever floats your boat!
